Biotechnology is technology that utilizes biological systems, living organisms or parts of this to develop or create different products. Agricultural biotechnology has been used to improve the nutritional content of a variety of crops in an effort to meet the needs of an increasing population. Additionally, crops can be engineered to reduce toxicity or to produce varieties with removed allergens.

Bio-fertilizer & Bio-Pesticides

A bio-fertilizer is a substance which contains living micro-organisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promotes growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant.

Bio-pesticides are certain types of pesticides derived from such natural materials as animals, plants, bacteria, and certain minerals. For example, canola oil and baking soda have pesticidal applications and are considered bio-pesticides.

A joint venture with ICRISAT Scientists to develop Bacterial Culture Equipment for industries. Followed by NIPHM to continue to develop a new Low-cost Fermenter for manufacturing Bio-Fertilizer and Pesticides.
